Altium – How to use xSignals ( in Fly-By, T-Branch + Other useful things )

This video explains how to setup xSignals and do length matching in Fly-by & T-Branch DDR3 memory layout. It also shows how to setup xSignals with passive components (e.g. series termination resistors or AC coupling capacitors) + adds some comments on how xSignals calculates the length and what is useful about them.

Try the examples from the video by yourself. Here you can find and download OpenRex and iMX6Rex Altium projects.

  1. Measuring Tool for Routed Length also takes into account length in via. In PCB tab -> Nets one can see individual segment length, among which are vias also. For example lengt in TH via is different if you are going from L1 to L12 (then is full length via) from the situation when you are going from L3 to L12 (then is shorter),
