Great idea – FREE CAD library, schematic symbols, simulation models, reference designs, professional network, manufacturing, …. I am very curious where this project will go.

Thank you for covering SnapEDA! For the record, manufacturing itself is not free 🙂 But symbols, footprints and network/access will always be free. – Natasha

    We would like to partner with semiconductor manufacturers themselves so that we can have a path to the most accurate and current data possible, and help them keep in touch with customers requesting CAD data for their products, or facing technical challenges.. We currently pull in pricing/availablility from distributors like Digikey, Arrow, Newark, etc. through our integration with Octopart (at the bottom of each product’s page). Our focus right now is to build up the size of our library, increase conversion to different software tools, and improve the integrity of the library so that we can make sure we meet certain standards (ex: IPC).
