It’s hard to tell, but the video of the iMX6 looks like the DDR3 is laid out ‘DDR2’ style, using balanced T topology for the address/ctrl bus, rather than fly-by topology for addr/cmd/ctrl. Is that true?

Yes, you are right. This is one of the designs where it’s possible to choose between T-branch or Fly-by for DDR3.
